Shahid Rajaee Cardiovascular Training, Research and Treatment Institute (Shahid Rajaee Heart Hospital) is known as one of the largest heart treatment centers in Asia and the scientific hub of heart medicine in the country . The center, which received its operating license from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and operates under the supervision of this ministry, is an academic and governmental center.

In addition to providing diagnostic and therapeutic services, this institute also provides preventive medicine and health promotion services , and while holding seminars, conferences, and scientific congresses, it helps retrain medical and nursing staff. The Iranian Cardiovascular Research Institute is also located in this institute.

انستیتو آموزشی، تحقیقاتی و درمانی قلب و عروق شهید رجایی (بیمارستان قلب شهید رجایی) به‌عنوان یکی از بزرگترین مراکز درمانی قلب در آسیا و قطب علمی پزشکی قلب کشور شناخته می‌شود. این مرکز که پروانه بهره‌برداری خود را از وزارت بهداشت، درمان و آموزش پزشکی دریافت کرده و زیر نظر این وزارتخانه فعالیت می‌کند، یک مرکز دانشگاهی و دولتی است.
این انستیتو علاوه بر ارائه خدمات تشخیصی و درمانی، به خدمات طب پیشگیری و ارتقای سلامت نیز می‌پردازد و همزمان با برگزاری سمینارها، کنفرانس‌ها و کنگره‌های علمی، به بازآموزی کادر پزشکی و پرستاری کمک می‌کند. همچنین، پژوهشکده قلب و عروق ایران در این انستیتو مستقر است.
